Around 250 A.D., a group of potters settled down in a place, some 15 leagues from Chartres, the Carnute capital. 1700 years later, after four seasons of excavations, archaeologists discover five furnaces in good condition, some buildings and seven tons of potsherds. haunted by the presence of these gallo-romans, the archaeologists attempt an experimental firing in one of the restored furnaces. With the assistance of a master potter, they rediscover the motions that were followed in this very place 1700 years ago…
