The ancients called her Vrygeida. It was an inhospitable land, surrounded by inaccessible mountains, a land of silence.
Today it is a peaceful place. Samuel and Vassileios the 2nd, Stephan Dusan and Palaiologos, Tsimiskis and the Francs have long ceised disturbing the serenity of Prespa’s inhabitants.
