Paleopathology, into which archaeology, physical anthropology and pathological anatomy meet, is the relatively new branch of science concerning the study of morphological footprints related to ancient diseases.
This film, although referring to a very important personality of the Italian Renaissance, illustrates all the phases characteristic of a modern paleopathological investigation and, can thus be considered emblematic of this type of studies.
