Tracking Africa’s Dinosaurs

Two world-renowned dinosaur specialists, professors Philippe Taquet from the Paris National History Museum and Dale Russell from the University of North Carolina in United States, launch a fascinating expedition in the High Atlas of Marocco, on the trail of unknown species estimated to be 180 million years old. The amazing discovery of the jaw of one of the oldest sauropods ever found on earth, enlights the history of the ancestors of all the quadrupedal vegetarian dinosaurs. The film director Pierre Stine proposes a brand new way of dealing with paleontology: a dinosaure walking in his own tracks, another stepping on the desk of a renowned specialist, a third one looking over the shoulders of a paleobotanist bending over his microscope… The process is wild but the intention is very serious: in the end of a minute investigation, a 200 million years animal –with the smallest brain of all the dinosaurs!– reappears from the past as its 3D representation walks around in his strange background…
