This is the tale of King Azatiwada’s castle, discovered in 1946 at Karatepe-Aslanta. There, a number of texts were found, written in an ancient Hittite hieroglyph script, that for a long time remained an indecipherable enigma; linguists seemed to have given up all hope. The film tells the story of Prof. Dr. Halet Cambell’s selfless efforts over more than half a century. Her initiative brought about the first-ever stone restoration performed in Turkey, as well as the first open-air museum of its kind in the country.
