The non-profit association AGON, with the support of the greek archaeological portal
archaeology & arts (www.archaiologia.gr), is organising the 10th International Meeting of Archaeological Film of the Mediterranean Area… and Beyond, which will take place in Athens, in May 2016.
Are accepted all kind of archaeological films, documentaries, fiction, animation, reporting, educational etc. The subject is Archaeology in its wider sense (i.e. Antiquity, Middle ages, or even Industrial archaeology), the Patrimony and the dying Popular Art and Traditions of the Mediterranean Area and Beyond. The films must be produced from January 1st, 2010.
The selection of the submitted films that will be screened during the festival will be made by the Selection Committee of AGON which is comprised of: Depi Vrettou (Cultural Program Coordinator, ERT), George Mouzakitis (Film Director-Producer), Zeta Xekalaki (Archaeologist-Editor in archaeology & arts), Dr Evangelos Karamanes (Director of the Hellenic Folklore Research Centre, Academy of Athens), Yiannis Simiriotis (Expert in new technologies) and Maria Stassinopoulou (Author, Critic of literature).
