The inquisitive TV viewer can discover in this film the logic behind the archaeological parks, a procedure chosen by the Greeks to protect their heritage and develop their tourism.
Three potential sites are examined: a) Corfu, b) Piraeus and Eleusis and finally c) Lavrion. Within their contexts, these projects also underline Greece’s and Belgium’s common efforts to exploit the extraordinary vestiges of the past.
This however is not the partners’ only achievement, since their exemplary collaboration led to the creation of the Belgian Archaelogical School in Greece.
In addition to certain surprises that are in store for the viewer, this voyage through the core of enlightened projects clearly demonstrates that the perfect compatibility of past and present traces the path of the future…
