In the Venetian countryside an old farmer lives alone with his animals. Of all, the most faithful is a donkey named Giorgio. When one day the donkey gets sick Antonio runs to ask the young priest to go to his home to bless the animal. After his refusal the housekeeper urges him to go to the sanctuary on the mountain to seek Saint Anthony Abbot’s intercession. In doing so and if this had been the will of the Saint it would be healed.
